Multiple organizations are responding to help tornado victims in Virginia.
Three people were killed and seven others injured after an EF-1 tornado ripped through Waverly on Wednesday.
VSP spokesperson Sgt. Steve Vick said the area has not experienced a storm of this magnitude in ‘a long time.’
A survey concluded that the tornado began a few miles south-southwest of Waverly.
The National Weather Service says the Waverly tornado was the only confirmed twister, but several others may have touched down.
