UR hoops to host ‘Harry Potter Day’ double-header

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — How does a day full of broomstick races, Harry Potter trivia and a game of Catch the Snitch sound?

This Sunday, The Robins Center will transform into a world of wizardry as the University of Richmond’s men and women basketball teams will host ‘Harry Potter Day’ to celebrate the release the new film, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

The celebration will begin at 1:30 p.m.when the Spiders play host to Robert Morris and won’t end until the conclusion of the women’s game against Appalachian State, which tips at 5 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to dress in their favorite Harry Potter-themed costume for a chance to win tickets to the release of the new movie and a concessions gift card.
