Lindsay Housaman is excited to be in Central Virginia, where she spent the summers as a child with her family on the farm in Rehoboth, VA. She comes to WRIC from northern California, where she was instrumental in launching a new duopoly newsroom from the ground up as Assistant News Director/Anchor of KAEF/KBVU.
Before that, Lindsay has worked for affiliates in Georgia, South Carolina, Colorado, Missouri and Alaska.
In her career, Lindsay said she’s had the opportunity to take on a variety of duties in the newsroom including producing, reporting, forecasting weather, anchoring, and leading talented news teams. She has also had the privilege of reporting on several national stories, including the stories of Paige Birgfeld, Norman Hsu, and the Horry County Wildfires.
Lindsay is a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina’s Broadcast Journalism program. She is a huge fan of the Gamecocks and college football.
On a personal note, Lindsay is a huge animal lover and has a Labrador named Amos, a basset hound named Trudie Mae, two cats and three horses. She is also a member of the Friends of the Mustangs, a club that is dedicated to promoting awareness and assisting the Bureau of Land Management with the Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Range. Lindsay is also a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity.
