SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Police in Savannah, Georgia, say the death of a worker found dead at a school construction site is being investigated as a homicide.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan police identified the slain man as Raymond Williams, a 46-year-old “overnight site worker.”
Police say he was found unresponsive by a worker at the construction site of Juliette Low Elementary School, and later declared dead.

The killing is the latest in a bloody year for the Savannah area. The Savannah newspaper reports that police have investigated 32 homicides in the metro area so far this year, compared to 21 at this time last year.
