Eric Everington got his start in video production when he was 15. He said that’s when his dad gave him a digital camcorder for his birthday. At that time, Eric enjoyed skateboarding and started videotaping family and friends skating around town. He said his passion grew from there.
Eric attended Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC as well as Appalachian State University. While in school, he worked on several projects to include short films, TV show pilots, documentaries and sports events.
His first job in television was at WWAY TV in Wilmington, NC as a production assistant and then moved into commercial production. He also worked at WECT in Wilmington and WRAL in Raleigh, NC.
Eric is excited to be a photojournalist for WRIC-TV and a resident of Richmond, VA. He said he’s only been in RVA a short time, but is falling in love with the city. You can find him walking his dog along the James River or checking out Cary Street Café for open mic night.
