Police release ID of man found dead at Henrico gas station on Friday

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police have identified the man found dead at a Henrico County gas station on Friday.

Henrico Police were called to the Exxon on the corner of Mechanicsville Turnpike and Bloom Lane just after 10 p.m. for a shooting.

Officers located a man suffering from obvious signs of trauma, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Jamar Lewis Bryant, age 23, of Henrico. Bryant was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine manner and cause of death.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
