RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — NASCAR driver and Chesterfield County native Denny Hamlin will have a new paint scheme on the car he will race at Martinsville Speedway on October 29th.
The driver of the FedEx #11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry will add Walgreens to his sponsorship in honor of a new program where consumers can drop off FedEx packages at Walgreens all over the country.
Hamlin has two wins in 2017 and after the Bank of America 500 in Charlotte sat fifth in the NASCAR Playoff standings. Charlotte was the first race in the Round of 12. Martinsville will be the first race in the Round of 8, so Hamlin will need to make it there to gain more attention for his new paint scheme.
The second race in the Round of 12 is the Alabama 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Hamlin has one win at Talladega, and he captured it in 2014. He won a stage at Talladega in May.
