Redskins prepare for speedy Chiefs, Cousins busy with birth of baby boy

ASHBURN, Va. (WRIC) — The text message came in and Kirk Cousins was gone. The current NFC offensive player of the week told some reporters Thursday afternoon at the Redskins team facility his pregnant wife Julie messaged Cousins that it was, “go time.” The two are expecting a baby boy any day.

In his absence, the Washington Redskins (2-1) continued game preparations for their Monday night game at Arrowhead Stadium against Kansas City. The Chiefs (3-0) boast the third best offense in the NFL (397.3 yards per game) with the top rushing attack that has exploded onto the scene along with their rookie sensation Kareem Hunt (133.7 rushing yards per game).
