RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico junior wide receiver Jahad Carter is ending his recruitment before it really begins.
Sunday Carter tweeted that he has chosen to play his college football at Virginia Tech. According to 247 Sports, his only other offer was from Temple. That’s likely due to his age, rather than any lack of ability.
Carter will not graduate until the spring of 2019. The 6’2″ 200-pound wide receiver says he got a great feel for Tech when visiting Blacksburg and feels a tight bond with the coaching staff.
In the meantime, Carter hopes to improve himself and his teammates before becoming a Hokie. Henrico is 3-1 this season and faces Highland Springs Friday.
