Fuente says playing Clemson “like diffusing a bomb”

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Tech Hokies moved up one spot from #13 to #12 in the latest AP Top 25, and that new position will be tested immediately.

Saturday, #2 Clemson, the undefeated defending national champions, come to Blacksburg. Kickoff is at 8:00 PM, and the game will be televised on 8NEWS in Central Virginia.

The Tigers have beaten the likes of Boston College and Auburn this season, and they have looked impressive in doing so. Virginia Tech Head Coach Justin Fuente compared playing the Tigers to diffusing a bomb, because one slight wrong move can result in a catastrophe.

The Hokies have hammered three lower-level teams since beating West Virginia to start the season.
