Local allergist finds correlation between active hurricane seasons and mold

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Local allergist Becky Collie with the Allergy Partners of Richmond has taken notes for over 30 years and has seen a correlation between active hurricane seasons and increased mold spores right here in Central Virginia.

8News speaks to Dr. Jeremy Hoffman of the Science Museum of Virginia about the correlation, and what their research hopes to do for our area.
