Medical Examiner: Cause of 1-year-old’s death ‘appears’ to be homicide

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) — The Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a one-year-old boy that happened back in January as a homicide.

Colonial Heights Police are still considering the case a death investigation, but the Medical Examiner said King Harvey’s death appears to have been a homicide due to blunt force trauma to the head.

Back in January, police were called out to a home on Moore Avenue where they found the toddler dead. At the scene, several family members told 8News they were not sure what happened.

Colonial Heights Police are still investigating.
