Woman charged with DUI in Chester crash into RE/MAX

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County Police have charged the driver who crashed her SUV into a building Monday night with a DUI.

Police said the incident happened after 8 p.m. at the RE/MAX Real Estate building located at 13125 Rivers Bend Boulevard in Chester. This is in the same shopping center as a Food Lion Grocery Store.

Police at the scene said that the driver accelerated while trying to park, hitting another car before running over the sidewalk and into the building.

The woman who was driving suffered minor scratches but otherwise was unhurt. No one else was hurt in the incident.

Police arrested the driver at the scene and have since charged her with driving under the influence.
