2 people hospitalized after single vehicle accident in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County Police are saying that two people were taken to the hospital after their vehicle ran off the roadway and into a tree Sunday morning.

The incident happened in the 2600 block of Hicks Road, just off of Hull Street Road at around 11:15 a.m.

Police said that only one vehicle was involved, but that both occupants needed to be transported to the hospital.

Their condition is currently unknown. The cause of the accident is also currently under investigation.

As a result, the roadway is currently closed while cleanup occurs.

Officials said that they are hoping for the roadway to reopen by around 12:30 p.m.
