Dog stolen during road rage incident in Florida found, returned to owner

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A puppy who was stolen during a road-rage incident Friday in Florida has been found about two miles away from where she was taken.

The puppy, Bella, was returned to her owner after she answered an ad posted on Craigslist by a person who found her in a nearby park.

The incident began when Bella was taken from the car of two sisters who live in Tampa during a confrontation with another driver.

Laura Rodriguez, one of Bella’s owners said that the incident happened after she made a rude hand gesture at the culprit when she was cut off on the highway.

Shortly thereafter, a female suspect caught up with her car at a red light and got out and began cursing at Rodriguez and her sister.

According to Rodriguez, the woman reached into the back seat, grabbed Bella and made a run for it, jumping back into her car and speeding off through the red light.

For now, the suspect who took Bella remains at large.
