HOLLAND, MI (WRIC) — Washington Redskins training camp is 20 days away, the deadline for contract negotiations is sooner on July 17th and still there is no update on whether starting quarterback Kirk Cousins will get a long-term deal done with the franchise before then.
Cousins, who is under a second straight franchise tag tender with the Redskins, is set to nearly $24 million guaranteed if he and the organization don’t come to terms in 10 days.
Today in his hometown of Holland, Michigan, Cousins hosted his annual football camp at Hope College where he showed no signs of concern over his future with the Washington Redskins. He sported smiles, words of encouragement and motivation to his campers and it continues into the weekend.
With so much hanging over his head, Cousins seems to be keeping a cool, collected one on his shoulders; good thing too as he is expecting a baby boy with his wife Julie in September.
