Chesterfield gym to hold fundraiser in honor of slain VSP Special Agent Walter

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. (WRIC) — A Chesterfield County gym is preparing to hold a fundraiser in honor of slain Virginia State Police Special Agent Michael Walker.

Peak Experiences in Midlothian is hosting a fundraiser this weekend to benefit Blackhawk Gym.

Fallen Special Agent Walter gave back to the community by coaching Blackhawk Wrestling, a non-profit program.

Peak Experiences, an indoor rock climbing facility, prides itself on giving members in the community the chance to get more than just a workout, but a chance to give back.

“This is our first opportunity of really being able to go gung-ho and do kind of a multi-faceted fundraiser,” Zachary Hodges, supervisor of Peak Experiences said.

The fundraiser for Special Agent Walter is Saturday, July 8 at Peak Experiences from 4 to 9 p.m.

There will be a climbing and a cornhole tournament.

The suggested donation is $10 for climbing and $10 for cornhole.
