Man shot in arm; Richmond Police looking for suspect

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police report that a man was transported to the hospital Saturday afternoon with injuries from a shooting.

Police said the incident happened in the 2200 block of 3rd Avenue around 4:40 p.m.

When police arrived, they say they found a man with a gunshot injury to the arm.

The man was taken to VCU Medical Center where he is being treated for injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.

Police did not offer any suspect information at this time.

Police also said that while the shooting incident happened just blocks away from where a later hit and run incident involving a 13-year-old boy occurred, they do not believe the incidents are related.
