Missing Spotsylvania County woman found safe

UPDATE: Jean Hillman Strickland was found safe Wednesday night, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 77-year-old woman who may be in danger.

According to a Senior Alert issued by Virginia State Police on behalf of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, Jean Hillman Strickland suffers from a cognitive impairment and her disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety.

Hillman is described as a 5-foot-8, 185-pound white female who was last seen driving a 2009 Green Hyundai Santa Fe with Virginia tags 3728GD.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 582-7115.
