Chesterfield County Police arrest 2 juveniles in relation to Saturday morning’s shooting

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County Police have arrested two male juveniles in relation to a shooting that happened in the 5000 block of Burnt Oak Circle early Saturday morning.

Police said that two 16-year-old males carjacked the victim of Saturday’s shooting, and shot him during the incident. The victim knew the other teens who shot him.

When police arrived Saturday, they transported the victim to Chippenham Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Later that day, police said they apprehended the two suspects at a residence in Chesterfield County.

They are being charged with several felonies each.

The first suspect, whose name is being withheld because of his age, is being charged with carjacking, attempted robbery, aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit robbery, brandishing and possession of a firearm by a minor.

The second suspect is being charged with carjacking, conspiracy to commit robbery and attempted robbery.

Both are currently being held in the Chesterfield County Juvenile Detention Home pending a hearing in Chesterfield County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
