Person of interest sought in Shockoe Bottom triple shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police have released more information about last weekend’s triple shooting in Shockoe Bottom in hopes the public can help them identify a person of interest who may be connected to to the crime.

When officers were called to 17th Street Farmer’s Market at around 3 a.m. on Sunday, June 18, they found two people suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds. A third victim, who has been identified as 26-year-old Robert D. Turner of Richmond, was transported in a personal vehicle to the hospital where he later died.

Now, police are hoping to speak with an individual who they believe was in the area when the shooting occurred.

The person of interest is described as a 6-foot-0 black male in his mid-20s with a light complexion and skinny build with short, dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a pattern and dark running pants with a stripe down the leg.

Police say he was diving a dark gray four-door Nissan sedan with a yellow New York license plate.
