Hanover deputies looking to identify robbery suspect

HANOVER, Va. (WRIC) — The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect in a recent robbery.

On June 19 at 8:30 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported robbery at a convenience store located on the 9000 block of Chamberlayne Road. The suspect approached the teller with a knife and took money before leaving the store.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black t-shirt and tan pants. The suspect’s face and head were covered by a darker colored sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office at 804-365-6140 or the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637 (CRIMES), using the key word “iTip” and their tip. Both contact methods are anonymous.
