Missing Prince William County man found safely

Kurtis Patrick Murphy went missing Sunday morning from his home in Prince William County.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Prince William County Police Department report that they have found Kurtis Murphy, and report that he is safe.

Prior to being found late Sunday, Murphy was last seen leaving his residence in Gainesville around 7 a.m. that morning.

Police say that Murphy was in need of assistance, which qualifies him as being endangered.

Murphy may be driving a black 2008 GMC Denali with Virginia tags XCL-1376.

Murphy is also described as a white man in his late forties, standing about 6’0” and weighing about 200 pounds. Police say he wears glasses, has green eyes and has brown hair.

Police did not provide a description of Murphy’s clothing at the time he went missing.
