RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — FeedMore will be able to feed more of your neighbors thanks to a $15,000 contribution from Publix.
The supermarket hosted a Day of Service on Saturday. More than 120 Publix managers volunteered their own time in the Richmond area.
“We know that as a supermarket and as a grocery retailer the greatest impact we can have on our community is feeding hungry families,” said Publix spokesperson Kim Reynolds. “So for us, it was a no-brainer that we would partner with FeedMore.”
The managers also volunteered at St. Joseph’s Villa, the Chesterfield Food Bank and Colonial Heights Food Pantry.
Saturday’s gift brings a combined total of $30,000 in contributions made by Publix to Feed More since 2016.
