4 passengers rescued from flash flood in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County fire officials say that they rescued four passengers whose vehicle was caught in a flash flood that happened Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened on Ware Bottom Spring Road near the intersection with Ramblewood Drive when a nearby creek flooded in Saturday afternoon’s storm.

Officials said that they were called to the scene when flood waters rose quickly and trapped the passengers inside.

The incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. By 6 p.m. all occupants had been rescued safely without injuries.
