TSA testing 3-D baggage scanners

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — New technology could make flying safer – and your time at the airport a little easier.

The Transportation Security Administration is testing 3-D baggage scanners at Boston and Phoenix airports.

Cameras inside the machines shooting hundreds of images to make a graphic of each bag.

With this technology, passengers wouldn’t have to remove laptops or liquids from their bags.
