RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Plenty of people are angry about their experiences flying the friendly skies.
New government data shows the number of complaints about airline service skyrocketed this April.
The Department of Transportation says it fielded more than 1,900 complaints from consumers that month. That number is up 69 percent from March, and up 70 percent from April 2016.
The majority of the complaints were against airlines based in the United States.
The biggest issue was flight problems, including cancellations, delays, and missed connections.
