Two men arrested in Hopewell armed robbery

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — Two men were arrested after officers responded to an armed robbery on Friday at the 2000 block of W. Broadway St around 2 a.m.

Police said the two men were acquaintances of both of the victims they robbed at gunpoint.

The suspects took the victims’ cell phones before fleeing the scene. Neither of the victims were injured during the robbery.

Both of the suspects were quickly arrested and the victims’ property were recovered.

The suspects were identified as Hopewell residents Ryan L. Wyatt and Frederick O. Brown Jr.

Wyatt, 24, was charged with counts of robbery, grand larceny, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Brown, 26, faces charges of robbery and a weapons violation.

Both suspects were taken to Riverside Regional Jail and are being held without bond.
