RPD investigating after man shot, hospitalized in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police are investigating Saturday morning after a shooting in the city’s Randolph neighborhood that sent one man to the hospital.

The shooting took place around 5 a.m. on South Allen Avenue near Jacquelin Street.

Police at the scene said that one man was shot and taken to the hospital at that time.

Investigators said that they are currently going door to door to see if anyone in the neighborhood knows anything further about what happened.

The investigation remains ongoing.
