Richmond Fire crews respond to kitchen fire on West Broad Street

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond fire officials responded to an apartment fire Saturday night near VCU.

Officials received the call at 9:39 p.m. about an apartment being on fire at 1333 West Broad Street.

Crews arrived and were able to put out the fire out. Officials said they believe the fire started in a third-floor kitchen.

No people were hurt, but it is unclear at this time if anyone was displaced.

The investigation of the fire is currently ongoing.
