Weekend opportunities to take pet photos with Santa

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — It’s the time of the year for family photos with Santa. This year, 8News is letting you know where to go to include your furry friends in the fun.

Dec. 10 Free photo with Santa Claus: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Santa Claus is coming to Petersburg Trading, located at 5927 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803; December 10th and December 17th. Children, pets … Santa loves them all.

Dec. 10 Paws for a Photo:  9 a.m. – 3 p.m. come out to the Pixel Factory, located at 9680 Atlee Commons Dr, Ashland, VA 23005, and get professional photos of your dogs. Proceeds go to benefit Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue medical funds to help pugs in need. Sitting fees are $20 for one background choice (approx 15 minutes) or $50 for three background choices (approx 30 minutes). If selecting three (3) backgrounds, be sure to sign-up for two consecutive time slots.

Dec. 10-11 Santa Claus at PetSmart: 12 – 4 p.m. Back by popular demand, come in and get a FREE photo of your pet with Santa. Stop by your local PetSmart to celebrate with Santa.

Dec. 10-11 Santa Family & Dog Photos Habitat for Humanity Fundraiser: Sat. Noon – 5 p.m., Sun. 1 – 5 p.m. Coldwell Banker Elite presents 2nd Annual Santa Family and Dog Photo event to benefit Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity. Small dogs from 1 – 3 p.m. and large breeds from 3-5 p.m. Some reservations accepted and walk-in’s welcomed. $20 a family which includes 2 printed 4×6 photos and a high-resolution digital image.

Dec. 11 Santa Paws at Stoney Point Fashion Mall: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Enjoy a holiday photo with your dog or cat. Dog and cats only please. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times.  Santa Paws is located next to GO! Calendars, Games & Toys.

Dec. 11 Pet Photos with Santa: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Bring your furry friends to the Southpark Mall, located at 230 Southpark Circle, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 for photos with Santa during this special evening. Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier, and pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets will not be allowed in any area of the mall other than the designated Santa photo area for any reason. We appreciate your understanding.
