RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Kroger Mid-Atlantic announced Thursday that its online-ordering service ClickList is now offering same-day ordering and pickup as an option for customers in the Richmond market.
Customers who place an order for same-day pickup will need to place the order at least four hours ahead of the scheduled pickup time. Previously, orders needed to be placed before midnight the day before their scheduled pickup.
“We continue to hear from our customers in Richmond that ClickList is saving their time and making their lives easier,” said Anne Jenkins, spokesperson for Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic Division. “We’re thrilled to now be able to give our customers the chance to shop for their groceries online and pick their order up all in the same day.”
In addition to same day ordering, the $4.95 ClickList service fee will be waived for customers through December 31 for orders scheduled for pick-up on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
“We see how busy our customers are during the holidays and wanted to find a way to say thanks by saving time and money by waiving the service fee,” said Jenkins. There is no limit on the number of orders eligible to receive the discount between now and December 31.
Kroger began offering the ClickList service to customers in the Richmond area in March 2016. Currently, 10 stores in the Richmond area have the service.
To use ClickList, customers can visit HERE, create an account and then select the nearest ClickList location. Next, a customer creates their shopping list, selects a pick-up time and then places an order. Once an order is placed, a Kroger store associate shops the store to fulfill the order and stores it in temperature-appropriate zones until the customer arrives. When the customer arrives at the designated pick-up area, a store associate loads the order into the customer’s car.
