Three indicted in assault, rape that left victim naked, bound and stranded

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Montgomery County Grand Jury have been formally indicted three suspects on charges related to assault, rape, and kidnapping.

40-year-old Jennifer Rice, 22-year-old Cassidy Lake and 29-year-old James Cargle have been formally indicted two counts of kidnapping, one count of rape and one felonious assault.

The victim was found Sunday, November 27 in the 600 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Dayton.

The 9-1-1 caller told police that he or she saw the victim pull the trunk release and jump out of a moving vehicle and fall onto the pavement and that that the victim was moving, but was bleeding heavily.

The victim told investigators that she went to a house in Dayton with her friend, Jennifer Rice. That’s where she was assaulted and raped.

They are scheduled to arraigned on December 13.
