Man carjacked on I-64 in York County

YORK COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia State Police are investigating a carjacking incident that occurred on Tuesday night on I-64 in York County.

Police received several calls of a male subject waving down traffic on westbound I-64. A Trooper was dispatched to that location to assist the male victim. The male victim alleged that he was stopped by a dark colored Ford vehicle with blue lights mounted in the windshield. He says was approached by two white males in plain clothes and told to exit the vehicle. One of the two white males entered the vehicle and drove off with the vehicle.

The victim was driving a 2017 Chevy Impala with New Jersey registration of P63HBP. The suspects left the victim on the shoulder of the interstate.

Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations was called to the scene and are currently handling the on-going investigation.

State Police are seeking any information from passing motorists who witnessed this incident or have seen the victims vehicle (2017 Chevy Impala, NJ reg.#P63HBP) to contact #(757) 424-6800.
