RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — It’s the day that lives on in infamy, December 7, 1941, when an attack on Pearl Harbor claimed thousands of lives.
Virginians came together at the Virginia War Memorial Wednesday to honor those who lost their lives and the veterans who survived.
The U.S. Navy League and Richmond Council lead the ceremony. Names of all Virginians who died during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor was read as memorial wreaths were presented.
A survivor of the attack was among the many who spoke at the ceremony.
