VSP identify 2 killed in Louisa County crash

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Two people were killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Louisa County Tuesday night.

The crash occurred at around 6:05 p.m. on Route 626 (Jordon Store Road) and Route 626 (Mallory Road).

According to Virginia State Police, a 2009 Ford Focus was traveling north on Jordon Store Road when it went through the intersection of Mallory Road and struck an embankment.


The driver Michael A. Martin, 28 of Fluvanna County, Virginia and passenger Wendy A. McDaniel, 21 of Scottsville, Virginia died at the scene; they were not wearing seatbelts, according to VSP.

Speed is being considered a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
