RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Dancers are preparing to bring The Nutcracker to Richmond for another holiday season.
Performances from Richmond Ballet begin in less than a week. The show will be at Carpenter Theatre.
Professional dancer Elena Bello says they have been practicing from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every day.
“It takes a lot of energy. Definitely.”
But Bello says it’s worth it.
“The children love it and it’s so much fun being able to bring them into our studio and be able to show them what a professional ballet dancer does,” she said.
The first performance is Saturday, Dec. 10. The show runs until Friday, Dec. 23.
Tickets start at $20.
