Police: Man drives himself to Henrico WAWA after being shot in Richmond

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man drove himself to an Henrico WAWA after being shot in Richmond early Wednesday morning, according to Richmond Police.

It all started after Richmond Police received a call of shots fired around 4:30 a.m. on East Ladies Mile Road in Richmond.

Henrico Police then called Richmond Police about a possible victim at the WAWA located at 5500 Brook Road in Henrico.

Richmond Police tell 8News the victim drove himself to the Henrico WAWA after he was shot in Richmond. The man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to VCU Medical Center.

The incident is now a Major Crimes investigation.
