RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police in Richmond are investigating after two people were shot in the city’s southside Wednesday night. We’re told one of the victims is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Police say the shooting occurred at roughly 9:46 p.m. in the 100 block of N. 33rd Street. When officers arrived, they found one person inside of a vehicle who was suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. About a block away, officers located another victim who was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the body. Both victims were transported to VCU Medical Center.
Neighbors at the scene told 8News they heard roughly 15 gunshots and saw a black male running from the scene.
No other information, including a more specific suspect description, has been released at this time.
