Man stands outside Texas mosque with sign: ‘You Belong. Stay Strong. Be Blessed.’

(WFLA) – A man in Texas stood outside a mosque with a message.

The man’s sign reads: “You Belong. Stay Strong. Be Blessed. We Are One America.” The man stood outside the Islamic Center of Irving. A representative for the mosque told the Washington Post he was there for several days.

The man has identified himself as Justin Normand. See his Facebook post below.

Irving, Texas is located near Dallas. Ahmed Mohamed attended the mosque. Ahmed, then 14, was placed in handcuffs and suspended from school after he made an electronic clock.

“I built the clock to impress my teacher, but when I showed it to her, she thought it was a threat to her. So it was really sad she took the wrong impression of it,” Ahmed said at the time.

Irving Police Chief Larry Boyd said the clock looked “suspicious in nature,” but said there was no evidence the boy meant to cause alarm at school. Boyd considers the case closed.

Then, in 2015 demonstrators gathered at the mosque with long guns and signs that said, “Stop the Islamization of America,” The Dallas Morning News reported.
