WATCH: Wildlife Center of Virginia releases golden eagle back into wild

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Wildlife Center of Virginia released a golden eagle that had been sick back into the wild Monday.

The bird hatched earlier this year then was rescued in August. The bird was not in good health and had an inflamed eye.

Workers at the wildlife center released the eagle at the Big Walker Lookout in Wythe County.
