Cookie sale Saturday to benefit orphanage and school in Uganda

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Local children are selling cookies on Saturday in an effort to raise money for a school and orphanage in Uganda.

The annual event is being held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nest Antiques, Art and Gifts located at 3404 Semmes Avenue in Richmond.

All proceeds will benefit the Circle of Peace School and Orphanage in Uganda.

The event was originally organized by a child named Verity Grace when she was 3-years-old. Grace is now seven, and was helped putting it together by her little sister Lylah, who was adopted from the Circle of Peace School.
