RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Robb falls off the lead spot after two subpar weeks in a row, and Ron takes over. It continues to stay close in the standings (well, except Chip – thanks for playing).

As always, feel free to play along at home.

L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Highland Springs Springers

Pick: Highland Springs Springers

Springers offensive weapons will be the difference in this matchup.

Washington Huskies @ Washington State Cougars

Pick: Washington Huskies

A shootout that will end with Washington getting the W due to their defense making enough stops.

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

Pick: Ohio State Buckeyes

Not sure if Michigan QB Wilton Speight will be able to go against Ohio State. I don’t see backup QB John O’Korn against the Buckeyes Defense.

Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers

Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide

Crimson Tide will win the Iron Bowl and keep the undefeated season going.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Virginia Tech Hokies

Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies

I can’t see Virginia Tech blowing another opportunity to clinch the ACC Coastal. If UNC loses to NC State the Hokies will clinch. If UNC wins and the Hokies lose then the Tar Heels win the Coastal.

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: North Carolina A&T Aggies

As an Aggie Alum I can’t go against them and keep an eye on running back Tarik Cohen who I expect to be in the NFL during the 2017 Draft.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

I was there when the Redskins blew an opportunity to defeat the Cowboys in Week 2. Dallas will make it 10 in a row in a close game.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

Pick: Denver Broncos

I see the Broncos winning this one due to the fact that Kansas City is banged up right now

L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Highland Springs Springers

Pick: Highland Springs Springers

Toss up.

Washington Huskies @ Washington State Cougars

Pick: Washington Huskies

In a close shootout, the Huskies win by three

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

Pick: Ohio State Buckeyes

Maybe next year Wolverines.

Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers

Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide

Roll…

Virginia Cavaliers @ Virginia Tech Hokies

Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies

Maybe next year UVa.

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: North Carolina A&T

Too many questions for UR.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

I haven’t picked the Redskins since they beat the Browns. You’re welcome ‘Skins fans.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

Pick: Denver Broncos

I hate this game…

L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Highland Springs Springers

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

This team is unstoppable.

Washington Huskies @ Washington State Cougars

Pick: Washington State Cougars

I like Luke Falk. I think he is the better QB to get this job done.

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines offense has been spotty but their D is amazing.  I think the D wins the game for Michigan. It will be a close one though.

Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers

Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide

Auburn has too many injuries on offense.  I think that catches up with them in this game, Roll Tide.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Virginia Tech Hokies

Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies

Going with history here…Virginia Tech’s success against Virginia is well documented… 12 in a row!

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

This team has more playoff experience.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

This should be a good contest.  The Skins have really been playing well but I think the Cowboys Dak Prescott is just that much better and the Cowboys are at home!

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

Pick: Denver Broncos

The Chiefs have been struggling lately and it comes down to Andy Reid and turnovers.  Enough said!

MitchMitch Carr, 8Sports Director (Last week – 4-4, Overall – 54-34)

L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Highland Springs Springers

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

I can’t wait to see this one play out. I’m not quite sure why I’m picking the Skyhawks. It’s just a hunch, I guess.

Washington Huskies @ Washington State Cougars

Pick: Washington State Cougars

Mike Leach finally has the Cougars playing his style, but they’re even better on D than his Texas Tech teams were. Gimme the home team out on that barren, desolate Palouse.

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

Pick: Ohio State Buckeyes

I don’t know about Wilton Speight’s status for this one, but if he’s not healthy AND it’s in Columbus, I like the Bucks.

Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers

Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide

Auburn has been inconsistent this season. Bama has been consistently awesome. Roll Tide.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Virginia Tech Hokies

Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies

It would not surprise me one bit to see UVA win this game because Bronco Mendenhall is a grand master at head games, but I still can’t pick that upset with the way UVA has played in recent weeks.

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: North Carolina A&T Aggies

The loss of Kyle Lauletta throws this team I to complete disarray. If the Spiders can lose to William and Mary, they can lose to A&T.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

This is a scheduling issue. Cowboys at home at 1:00 PM playing at home on a Thursday vs. Redskins playing at home Sunday night and having to travel to Dallas. If this game was in Landover, I’d give the Redskins a shot, but it’s in Dallas. I’ll take the home team with a few more hours’ rest.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs

The league is figuring out Trevor Semien. I can’t believe the Chiefs lost at Tampa Bay, but I don’t expect them to lose at Denver, which has no offense with the decline of Semien and the injury to CJ Anderson.

will-12Will Armbruster, 8News Digital Producer (Last week – 5-3, Overall – 53-35)

L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Highland Springs Springers

Pick: Highland Springs

 I flipped a coin.

Washington Huskies @ Washington State Cougars

Pick: Washington State

Don’t call it an upset.

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

Pick: Michigan

If there’s one college football game I’m watching this weekend, this is it. Wolverines by three.

Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers

Pick: Alabama

I run out of reasons to pick Alabama each week. They’re the best team in college football; simple as that.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Virginia Tech Hokies

Pick: Va. Tech

Perhaps I’d ponder this game more if it was being played in Charlottesville. UVA has showed promise this year and continues to improve each week, but the Hokies are clearly the better team.

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond

No offense to our 8Sports Vlogger Ron Carthen – he’s a A&T alum – but I like the Spiders here by double digits.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Cowboys

For the first time in years, I’m actually intrigued to watch this Thanksgiving Day showdown. I expect Dak and the ‘boys squeak this one out.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

Pick: Broncos

These teams are the same to me. Toss up, anyone?

amanda-malkowskiAmanda Malkowski, 8News Good Morning Richmond Anchor (Last week – 6-2, Overall – 52-36)

L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Highland Springs Springers

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

I’ve picked Bird most weeks, and I’m going to keep with the trend.

Washington Huskies @ Washington State Cougars

Pick: Washington Huskies

I’m not super familiar with this conference, but I’m going with the team with the better record- Washington.

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

This will be a good game, but I have to give it to Michigan. Ohio State has had some weak moments, and I think Michigan is going to come out guns blazing.

Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers

Pick: Auburn Tigers

Alabama isn’t having the season I thought they would, and Auburn continues to look strong.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Virginia Tech Hokies

Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies

Virginia isn’t strong enough to beat this Tech team, especially not at home. I’d be surprised if they could pull out a win.

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

I think Richmond will continue a strong run. The Aggies aren’t bad, but they aren’t going to be able to pull off a win here in RVA.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys can’t be stopped right now. The Redskins have one of their best teams in years, but I just don’t think their offense will be able to power through.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

Pick: Denver Broncos

The Chiefs loss to the Bucs was pretty brutal. I think the Broncos will pull this one out.

tracey-smith-web-2Tracey Smith, 8News Reporter (Last week – 4-4, Overall – 49-39)

L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Highland Springs Springers

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Honestly, I am always just hoping for the best when it comes to high school picks. I’ll go with the Skyhawks.

Washington Huskies @ Washington State Cougars

Pick: Washington Huskies

Picking purely based on record here, so I’ll go with the Huskies.

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

Pick: Ohio State Buckeyes

I always love watching an Ohio State game. The Buckeyes are an easy pick.

Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers

Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide

I have said over and over again, I don’t pick against Bama. But I do love when they play Auburn.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Virginia Tech Hokies

Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies

Sorry UVA fans, I know this is always a “big” game, but the Hokies are an obvious pick.

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

I’m excited to see the Spiders advance to the playoffs, so I’ll be rooting for them as long as they don’t face JMU.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Dallas Cowboys

Dear Dad, I can explain. My heart says “go Redskins,” but my brain says the Cowboys will take home the win.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs

Still looking to see Kansas City in the post-season this year, so I’m picking the Chiefs.

Chip VT 2Chip Brierre, 8Sports Anchor (Last week – 7-1, Overall – 46-42)

L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Highland Springs Springers

Pick: Highland Springs Springers

Both defenses are lights out, Springers offense better all-around than Skyhawks. McCall’s production will be fun to watch, he single-handedly carried Bird post Hermitage last week.

Washington Huskies @ Washington State Cougars

Pick: Washington Huskies

Huskies need to win out and hope the playoff committee gives them the advantage over the loser of Michigan at Ohio State.

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

So long as Wilton Speight is starting, then yes Michigan wins at the horseshoe to lock up their playoff spot.

Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers

Pick: Roll Tide

Again… Bama… juggernaut

Virginia Cavaliers @ Virginia Tech Hokies

Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies

Justin Fuente has been superior in every way to Bronco Mendenhall this season. He inherited a better team and situation, and his philosophy has paired perfectly with the one already put in place in Blacksburg. This game being in Lane Stadium makes this a “stone cold lock” for me.

North Carolina A&T Aggies @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

We may not know who is playing at QB yet, but we know Deontez Thompson is playing out of his mind at running back. The Spiders always lean on their running game to kickstart the offense, they’ll do so against the Aggies and advance.

Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys

Pick: Washington Redskins

It’s about that time the Cowboys’ win streak comes to a close, and Jay Gruden has beaten the Boys in Jerry World before (look to 2014 when Colt McCoy was the starter, I know right!?) Kirk Cousins is just as hot if not hotter than Dak Prescott throwing the football. Ezekiel Elliott has the advantage over Rob Kelley obviously, it’ll come down to defense. Josh Norman and company won’t let what happened in week two go down again in their final regular season encounter.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs

Remember when I said at the beginning of the season the Chiefs are a Super Bowl contender? People seem to forget that when the Raiders are 8-2.
