VCU Police looking for suspected car thief

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Commonwealth University Police report that a vehicle was stolen in an area near campus Friday afternoon.

A red Nissan Sentra with Virginia 30 day tags was stolen Friday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. after a person parked the vehicle in front of the Honors Dormitory on campus.


When the victim returned to their vehicle, a suspect was seen entering the vehicle and driving off.

The incident occurred in the 700 block of West Grace Street.

Police said that they have increased patrols in the area, and that the VCU Police are currently leading the investigation.
