Suspects sought in Church Hill double shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating two suspects wanted in connection to a double shooting in Church Hill earlier this week.

Shortly before 2 a.m. on Monday, police responded to reports of random gunfire near the intersection of North 31st and T streets and found two gunshot victims — one with life-threatening injuries who remains hospitalized and another with non-life threatening injuries who has been released.

Police say 20-year-old Monte O. Robinson (a.k.a. “Chub”) of the 900 block of North 28th Street, and 20-year-old Josiah C.M. Wyche of the 2900 block of Kane Street are wanted in connection to this crime. Both are charged with attempted first-degree murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Robinson is described as a 5-foot-5, 150-pound black male with a medium complexion, brown eyes and brown hair. Wyche is described as a 5-foot-0, 150-pound black male with a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes. Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
