STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a murder-suicide investigation after four people in the Windsor Forest Subdivision in the northwestern portion of the county were found dead.
According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, the victims are a 35-year-old male, 30-year-old female, a five-year-old female, and an 18-month-old female. Authorities have not released details about how they died or a possible motive.
Friends of the victims tell 8News affiliate ABC7 in Washington D.C. that six people lived in the home — the two children, plus their parents and grandparents.
“I’ve seen the family out in the yard, I’m just sort of anxious to hear what happened,” neighbor Carol Chestnut told ABC7.
Another neighbor, Ruth Martin, said, “there’s never been any indication of any issues.”
ABC7 also reports that a spokesperson for Stafford County Public Schools confirmed that the five-year-old victim was a student at Rockhill Elementary School.
“It’s just horrible,” Martin said.
The sheriff’s office said that there is no danger to the public as a result of this incident.
