Cheese sold at Giant and Martin’s stores recalled over salmonella concerns

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) —  Martin’s and  grocery stores have announced a nationwide recall of some of the cheese sold at their stores.

Four separate kinds of grated 4C Foods Corp. Parmesan Cheese have been recalled because of a possible salmonella contamination.

The packages have “Best by dates” between November 12th of 2016 through November 12th of 2018.

The following products are included in this recall:

  • 4C All Natural Parmesan Grated Cheese, 6 oz., UPC 4138733126 with Best By dates between November 12, 2016 and November 12, 2018
  • 4C All Natural Parmesan/Romano Grated Cheese, 6 oz., UPC 4138737126 with Best By dates between November 12, 2016 and November 12, 2018
  • 4C HomeStyle All Natural Parmesan Grated Cheese, 6 oz., UPC 4138732790 with Best By dates between November 12, 2016 and November 12, 2018
  • 4C HomeStyle All Natural Parmesan/Romano Grated Cheese, 6 oz., UPC 4138711627 with Best By dates between November 12, 2016 and November 12, 2018

Right now the stores have not received any reports of illnesses.
