HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) — The Hopewell Police Department is seeking the suspect who robbed a Hopewell 7-Eleven convenience store.
Authorities said on November 16, at approximately 2:04 am, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 2014 W. Broadway Street for a reported armed robbery that had just occurred.
The investigation revealed that the lone offender entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The offender fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was injured during the incident.
The offender is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, 5’8-5’11, and 165-185 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black hooded sweat shirt, black in color tennis shoes and a blue in color bandana or mask covering the lower portion of his face.
The offender had a dark colored glove on his left hand and displayed the weapon in his right hand.
The Hopewell Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this matter.
