Suspect sought for breaking into home, shooting man in Richmond’s southside

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police in Richmond are searching for a suspect who broke into a home and shot a man over the weekend.

Police said that they responded to the 4900 block of Orcutt Lane shortly before 11 p.m. for reports of a person shot. When they arrived, they found an adult male inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say 22-year-old Milton A. White of Richmond is wanted on charges of breaking and entering, malicious discharge of a firearm within a dwelling and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is described as a 5-foot-4, 135-pound black male with black hair and brown eyes.
