RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Cider Week Virginia is underway across the state and in Richmond.
There are tastings, workshops and collaborations planned as cideries across the state celebrate their craft.
William Correll, a Buskey Cider Founder told 8News about their release of a Pink Lady Cider today. The business will be donating 50 cents out of every pint they sell to the VCU Massey Cancer Center.
Correll described the cider.
“It’s completely dry. Very delicate. More champagne-like,” he said. “It is kind of peachy, and it’s got some peachy flavors and aromas.”
Buskey Cider will also be one of many cideries from across the area pouring samples at the Richmond Cider Celebration.
The event takes place today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 17th Street Farmers Market.
